Volunteer Bonds

We greatly value the support of our club families and are always working to improve our programs and provide high-quality training for our members. To help us continue making these improvements, we are updating our Volunteer Bond Policy.

Volunteer Bond Amount

  • $125 per player (U7 and up)
  • This amount will be added to your registration fee.

How to Fulfill Your Volunteer Bond

Each family may choose one of the following options:

  • Complete 4 hours of volunteer service
  • (examples include registration nights, festivals, field preparation, or club events)
  • Sell 4 raffle books
  • (1 mandatory raffle book is included in your registration package)
  • Raise a minimum of $125 through approved club fundraising
  • Serve as a parent coach for the season
  • Become a board member (as positions are available)
    • Join a club sub-committee for the full indoor or outdoor season (as positions are available)

Buyout Option

If you are unable to complete any of the options above, you may choose a non-refundable buyout of $125.

Important Note

If your volunteer or fundraising commitment is not fully completed, the $125 bond will be retained by YUFC and used to help cover club operating and program costs.

A Friendly Request

Although only one option is required, we strongly encourage each family to sell the mandatory raffle book—and more, if possible. Every contribution helps support our players, programs, and the broader YUFC community.

Jersey Deposit

All players registered for competition weekends may purchase a personalized jersey set with their name and number. Players who purchase a personalized jersey will not be required to pay a jersey deposit. Please watch your email for pre-order dates.

Players who choose not to purchase a personalized jersey may use a club travelling jersey with a $100 refundable deposit. The deposit will be returned at the end of the season once the jersey is returned in good condition. If the jersey is lost or not returned, the $100 deposit will be retained by the club to cover replacement costs.

RAFFLE TICKETS

Following the success of our recent raffles, Yorkton United will once again run a spring raffle with exciting prizes.

Each player is required to sell one book of raffle tickets (10 tickets per book at $5.00 per ticket).

Players who choose to sell raffle tickets in place of volunteering will be required to sell four ticket books.

Ticket books will first be distributed to the Skill Centre and club teams, including those using ticket sales to fulfill their volunteer bond. If tickets remain, sales will then be opened to U4 and U5 players who wish to participate.

All raffle proceeds are placed into a soccer legacy fund to support our Mini Turf Field project.
